We had a chance to explore different materials and technologies with Ms. Field, our school librarian. Below, Ewan works together with his peers to create a circuit. He also worked hard to plan and problem solve when creating a planter box.
During Story Workshop, we have began focusing on characters. After having planned what kind of characters we would like to create and gathering natural materials outside, Ewan brings his plans to life! After creating his character, Ewan worked describing his character, including the characters name, personality traits, and what makes them unique! We will use our characters in our stories as we continue to find and share the stories that we have to tell!
We are playing with estimating and measuring lengths using snap cubes by finding items of similar lengths from around the room to create a measurement gallery.
As a class we have been exploring 2D and 3D shapes. We have been focusing on composing and decomposing shapes – putting shapes together and taking the apart. Through building and moving shapes around, we have been exploring the different qualities and characteristics of shapes.
