YAP Reflection

…..YAP was a very enjoyable experience, I loved it, I am almost certain that everyone loved YAP.   On the first day we used props and couldn’t talk, our peers had to guess what we were pretending it was, i got a bone and pretended it was a bow tie.  After that we were split into groups and got card and had to walk on it, like; hot sand, jumping on rocks, and electric floor. Finally we were got into groups of four  and were given a card they had lines for person A,B,C,and D i got person A for a group with these lines; A: What is that B: I don’t know, i just found it here. C: What does it do? D: Lets try it out! I was person A and was killed by Stella (person D). I wasn’t here for the  second day all I know is that they were doing masks. For the third day we did improv (improvisation), I did a short skit with Marcus, the skit was; I was selling a car and Marcus wanted to buy it but he thought the price was too high and had to think of ways for me to lower the price, I had to thing of why he should buy it for the price that i had given. Improvising is a good skill to have if you do and acting because if you forget the script you can’t say “DANG IT!! i forgot the script!!” on stage, you’d need to improvise what to say, next we were split into groups of two and we were giving non-existent gifts and the other person had to say what it was (the gift receiver), we continued giving non-existent gifts until Director Mike gave us something new. The new thing we did was a story where our word starting every sentence were “yes, and” our first starting sentence was ” Do you remember when we went to the beach?” the second starting sentence was “Do you remember when we found $10B in my backpack?” . Once we finished that we did skits and were in groups. the first one was about kids in a class who ask questions so the audience can guess their personalities.  the next one was a bus stop and everyone got a personality to act (like the last one) Yes Ms. Carley it’s not done because you just told us to publish
